This relation is the subject specifically explored in the extraordinary work of Sir John Woodroffe, first published as six separate books in the early 1920s, and later brought together under one cover as The World as Power (Madras: Ganesh & Company, 1957). Woodroffe brings to bear a very considerable knowledge of physics, as it existed at the end of World War One, upon interpreting his translations of the Agamas of Advaita Vedanta. The book is revelatory to anyone struggling to comprehend rudiments of Riemann surfaces relative to m-valued logics or the tasks involved in accomplishing multiple reconstructions of Hilbert space with Post’s µTm systems of logic-- particularly if that anyone does not read Sanskrit. Also exceptionally useful in this regard is Kumar Kishore Mandal’s A Comparative Study of the Concepts of Space and Time in Indian Thought (Varanasi, Chowkhamba Sanskrit Studies, Vol. 65, 1968), which is in large measure an essay on correspondence between the Liebnitz doctrine of the identity of indiscernibles and the labyrinthine subtleties of argument concerning the nature of Akasa, Kala, and Maharloka (the last of which may be regarded as a pseudonym for Dirac’s crossover time). Aditi is the multivalued reference space. Cit-Sakti, operator-time. Marud-gana, the infinite collection of decomposed single-valued sheets. Cit-Sakti operates on Aditi to generate Marud-gana, the manifold constituting Indra’s net. Dik and Kala, both time related, are operations, different categories of operator-time. Bindu are point-centers on the multivalued reference space. Paramanu are unactivated point-centers on the decomposed single-valued sheets. Rupa-points, Sabda-points, Gandha-points are classes of activated single-valued point-centers which are members of different logical-domains. Guna, Woodroffe says, is usually translated as quality, but also means thread or strand. Guna is a connecting line -- within a given logical-domain -- of Indra’s net. The various categories of Tanmantras designate different classes of logic-lattices connecting activated point-centers on the decomposed single-valued sheets. This mathematical interpretation of the Sanskrit meanings could go on and on. The correspondences are extraordinary and accurate relative to the metaphysical meanings given the terms in the Agamas.
Another source of Vedic correspondence with a full-blown general theory of form in process which spontaneously begins to emerge from cascade theory of tornado genesis is The Myth of Invariance by Ernest G. McClain (Nicolas-Hays, 1976). The cyclic matrix of the octave double (with its quantal and fractal drum,
i.e., its moon of hoa binh) is a model of involutory decomposition of the multivalued reference space into limited spacetime domains (LSTDs), which includes allusion to the process of multi-scale angular momentum cascade and to operator-time: the ancient world was rife with metareference to twisting axes of spin. The three-wheeled car is 3-fold operator-time; the Asvin pair, which represent the amount of temporal curl as a measurement of arc, are the positive and negative temporal curls symbolized by tone inversion. Hexagonal definition of sexagesimal subsets in the various cyclic yantras is the mapping of limited spacetime domains within the decomposed, single-valued, multi-sheet model. Each LSTD has its characteristic acoustic wave signature (tone-row mantra: Grundreihe and Grundgestalt) and correspondent mapping into the hierarchy of limiting velocities, accelerations, and time rates of change of acceleration.Meditations Through the Rg Veda (Antonio T. de Nicolas, Shambhala, 1978) is also instructive concerning these issues. In the Vedas, the Rsis sang of the triple-naved, of three long-haired ones, of the three navels , and also of the cosmic halves. They asked, Who can comprehend this? Hmmm. Three of space and three of time. The ancient ones said, Solitary he rises with three fathers and mothers on his shoulders. Or more elaborately in reference to temporal operators operating on space, Speech [cosmically speaking, that is] divided into four levels,/ The wise singers know them all./ Three levels are hidden, and men never attain them./ Men speak only the fourth. Hmmm. Elementary particles are twistorized operator-time decomposing the multivalued reference space into the single-valued nexus known as ponderable spacetime. Since there are three orders of operator-time, we should expect to find three basic families of elementary particles (which we find). And since all orders of temporal operation have but two degrees of freedom, we should expect to find two fundamental classes of particles (which we find): quarks are not leptons in linear-time reversal, they are the effect of reversing the temporal operation which is the lepton contribution to the continuous emergence of simply-connected ponderable spacetime. But this inverse, too, is a contribution to the creation of ponderable spacetime! A big bang at the beginning of linear-time? Come on. Look at the topology involved. The linear operation is little more than a cross-section of its embedding instruction set. Not only is the center everywhere, the beginning is everytime! The effective power of Vac (the Word of God in cosmogenesis), which we can call its mantric function, is not resident primarily in mere vocalization, but in coherent phase relationship, the critical defining characteristic of acoustic waves or sound. Coherency, in context of a cyclic matrix, of mathematical involutes and devolutes, of Abfall-Aufhebung is a question of scale interaction. And scale interaction is a question of Tapas (Curie temperature), of the critical correlation lengths (Pythagoras) governing response of nested clocks, that is, of twisting axes of spin (one-wheeled cars) of the factors involved in angular momentum cascade. Which cascade does have something to do with superconductivity (i.e., Kundalini).
That understanding of this general theory of form in process was not limited to the Vedic world is clearly revealed by the brilliant work of William Sullivan (in part inspired by personal contact with J. G. Bennett) on Inca cosmology, which appears to have thoroughly incorporated an active concept of time the Inca inculcated into every aspect of their cultural life (The Secret of the Inca: Myth, Astronomy, and the War Against Time, Crown, 1996). Sullivan applied the principles described in Hamlet’s Mill (Giorgio Santillana and Hertha Von Dechend, Nonpareil, 1969), on the role of myth in the rise of science through evolution of the concept of invariance, to analysis of stellar configurations revealed by Inca myths, then dated the myths by using a planetarium to roll back the star clock to the times when such configurations were viewable by naked-eye astronomy from Machu Picchu
(see: www.sacredsites.com/pilgrim/3/sept18.html ). He then analyzed historical data from the periods in question, thus revealing the role played by cosmological metareference in establishing the harmonies of Andean civilization and origins of the wars which followed close upon demise of this metareference. The mill of Hamlet was the allusory repository of the notion of invariance; this millstone, of course, being temporal curl. The transevering axis is an axis of rotation undergoing the 90-degree twist involved in angular momentum cascade between scale levels in course of tornado genesis. Set the revolving stone on its edge and twist it 90 degrees transverse to the original plane of revolution: this real twist being symbolic of entry into the mythological realm of imaginary number space. Robert Fludd was fond of an old alchemical etching illustrating just such a twirling millstone, set high in the sky, with a second millstone intersecting it at 90 degrees. Below this millstone configuration was depicted a tornado touching down at the intersection of two ley lines in the English countryside.
